Prayer Points for Week beginning 20th May 2012

(Week 6 of our 6 week cycle)

Thanksgivings for:

God's blessings in the past and the opportunities ahead.

The wonder of the Resurrection. The sure hope of heaven. Death destroyed and victory won.

Our promise keeping God

Those in our prayer list who have improved.

Our Parish

The combined witness to Jesus of all Christians in our parish.

David's leadership in our ministry to our community. Guidance for the future of our Church.

Opportunities to relate in an effective and relevant way with our community.

Other new ministry initiatives - wisdom in planning and implementation.

For wisdom for the Wardens and Parish Council in all discussions and decisions to be made.

SRE, thanking God for the full complement of teachers to take part in this important ministry this year.

Pray for residents of Fountaindale Road, Clover Hill Road, Nuninuna Road.

Friends in special need

For Myrtle, now home from hospital; Jon's mother, Patricia; Barry and Pauline continuing with treatment; For Jean and for her daughter; For Kim's niece, Alexandra, in hospital with anorexia; Beryl and John; For Gwen, Faith, Molly. For any others known to us who are sick, grieving or otherwise in need.

 Our Missionaries

Kees and Cindy have finished their deputation and officially resigned from CMS. They give thanks for the opportunities God has given them to serve him in Tanzania and all the support they have received; they are thankful, too, for reconnection with their family in Australia. Please pray for their adjustment to living again in Australia, for guidance as they seek God's direction for future service and for their friends, Jastus and Violeth.

 The World:

Anglicare, for good provision for increasing demand for their services and for ongoing support.

Pray for victims of famine in Africa and for effective relief of their material and spiritual needs;

For peaceful outcomes in areas of warfare and civil unrest; For a smooth transition to new governments in Libya and Egypt with care and respect for all.

For all who are suffering, that they might have opportunity to discover the comfort and security of a relationship with their Creator.

Nigel Dixon and other Scripture teachers, as they share God's word with students.

All staff of schools – Christian and non-Christian alike.

Pray for all members of the NSW Parliament that they might work to promote the welfare of all in our society and give fair and godly leadership.
